Job to be done:
People searching Google for travel information generally haven't committed to specific plans yet. Expedia's job was to get them closer to finding the right options and book their trip.
Solution:
Create a suite of responsive, fast-loading pages that could bring people from Google to a landing experience with relevant flight, hotel, rental car, or vacation package options for them to explore.
Content design:

Create a flexible content hierarchy that used signals from search results, like URL parameters and keyword bid information, to dynamically aggregate relevant product options into a cohesive experience

Experimented with federated lists of products based on affinities (like "cheap" or "family-friendly"), locations, and date ranges to provide people a general sense of how prices, deals, and availability change based on those factors.
